Linda Ronstadt is a ferocious, feminine force of vocal prowess and one of the best singers of the twentieth century. Ronstadt has inspired young women across the nation to become Rock ‘n Roll singers, especially Americana singer songwriter Karen Hudson, who tributes her tonight.

For Hudson, performing Ronstadt’s classic 1978 album “Living In the USA” cover to cover is a bucket list item, and it took a lifetime for her to organize it. In high school Hudson idolized Ronstadt and sang Linda’s ballads in talent shows and for theater auditions in school. Hudson has worked as a recording artist and country rock bandleader in NYC since the ‘90’s and has peppered her sets with classic Ronstadt songs during shows at the world-famous Rodeo Bar and beyond.

Recorded at the Sound Factory and Produced by Peter Asher, “Living in the USA” churned out hits across radio formats including Alison (Elvis Costello), Ooh Baby Baby (Smokey Robinson), Just One Look (Doris Troy, Hollies), Mohammed's Radio (Warren Zevon) and Back in the USA (Chuck Berry). Personnel on the album included Waddy Wachtel, Russell Kunkel, Dan Dugmore, Don Grolnick, Kenny Edwards, Andrew Gold, and David Sanborn.

Backed by a fantastic 9-piece rock band, the music will be a nostalgic trip down memory lane looking back at a time when things were cooler, radio was way better, and that California country rock sound warmed you like the summer sun.

Band members include Mike Fornatale, Charly Roth, Tommy DeVito, Jeff Gordon, Glenn Spivack, Kathryn Donnelly, Suzanne Hockstein, James Noyes, and Jaden Gladstone.
